Tips for Great Lamb
1: Always serve lamb HOT. Lamb fat
is strong and never tasty when cold.
2: Trim excess fat for best flavor.
3: Spices that compliment lamb are
garlic, rosemary, thyme, oregano & mustard.
4: Storage - 2-4 days in refrigerator or
frozen up to 6 months.

APRIL 2012
Well, Spring is here! Somedays it feels more like Summer, but the frost date is still 3 weeks away. Our blueberries, and I believe our peaches, narrowly escaped a deadly freeze. Anyway, we are hoping! I have done a little planting already, but have mostly been waiting for safer weather. The OWEN COUNTY FARMERS MARKET begins in a couple weeks. May 5th to be exact. We have relocated to the gravel lot next door to Babb's, our local grocery store. Mr. Rob Babbs, the owner, is a true "community supporter" and has gone out of his way to accommodate the market's needs. We are excited for a new and better than ever year in 2012! Hope to see everyone there. We have lamb scheduled for the first market and beyond! The growing is good at McNeil Valley Farms!!! Andrea and Andrew McNeil
